Blue Ribbon Ceremony- Key Stage Two

This year Maradhoo School celebrated student’s achievements in the name of Blue Ribbon Ceremony. Key stage two’s ceremony was held early afternoon.
Chief Guest of the Ceremony was the Honorable Mayor of Addu City, Abdulla Sadhiq. The ceremony was also enlivened by the presence of Deputy Mayor of Addu City Abdulla Thoyib, Deputy Director of Maradhoo Town Office Hassan Rasheed Moosa, Manager of Fenaka Cooperation Maradhoofeydhoo branch Ali Nizar.
Prizes were given to the students who achieved excellence in the year 2015. School Inter-house Quran Competition awards were also given to the students in the ceremony.  Madhaha item and Bodu beru item were performed by grade 5 and 6 students.
Mayor Abdulla Sadhiq presented special prize to Anoof Hashim for scoring 100% marks from Social Studies in the Province Terminal Exam.  Sashes and medals were given to the Top 10 students by the mayor.
In the speech given by the principal Abdul Latheef Ali, he announced promising developments and facilities to the school for the year 2017.  This includes building a computer lab designed for the students and improving the science laboratory with virtual lab experiments. The most major improvement will be teaching virtually through Google Apps.  He also highlighted that if this program is successfully implemented, Maradhoo School will be the first school in Maldives to start virtual teaching through Google apps.  

The Blue Ribbon Ceremony was concluded with the singing of the School Song.
