CHILDRENS DAY 2023

Children's Day is celebrated all across the Maldives on 10th May. Every year our school does something special for us, even during the pandemic. Just like any other year, this year we celebrated grandly and the theme was water.

We were asked to bring different colored t-shirts to school, on which we printed the logo by ourselves. On 10th May, we were to come to school at 10:30. When we arrived, the teachers welcomed us warmly. Definitely felt like a celebrity walking down a fancy red carpet while the teachers blew bubbles and greeted us.

First, the assembly started off with the recitation of Holy Quran. Next was the agenda and speeches. After the assembly there was a photo session where each class went up on the stage to take a photo. After it the school served us breakfast. Each class had their own cake which was the best part.

Many games related to water were held by the teachers and parents. There were water balloons, passing the water, carrying water and etc. It was so much fun to participate in the games with the classmates. Then at noon, we took a short break for prayer and soon after,it was time for us to depart and our teachers gave us gifts.

To sum up, the celebration was marvelous. I really enjoyed to the fullest although it was for a short period of time. This celebration was by far the best event our school has held. We greatly enjoyed the bright decorations, the fun games and the thoughtful gifts.
