And we did the same by celebrating our rich culture, heritage and most importantly our language. It is very important for an individual to be close and connected to their roots. Because that is what makes us grow and stay stronger. It is important that we celebrate the joy of being proud Maldivians.
It was a remarkable day where both the students and the teachers were dressed in traditional Maldivian Libaas. And it was a very vibrant and cheerful event. Everyone had come together to rejoice the spirit of language, nation and the pride of tradition that ties it all together.
There was a skit that was organised by Grade 8A students under the guidance of Ms. Fareedha Moosa, the Dhivehi teacher. The children recited excerpts of poems and spoke about the importance and beauty of Dhivehi.
