Student Leaders' Investiture 2020

Maradhoo School Investiture 2020 was held on 4th of March at 8:20 am in the school premises. The colour code of this ceremony was 'brown and its many shades'. It was held to celebrate the success of last year’s PTA (Parent Teacher Association). It was also commemorated to give all the prefects and school leaders their certificates tags and sashes.

The chief guest of this special ceremony was the principal of Feydhoo School, Mr. Ibrahim Mihaad. This ceremony was a very life changing and a very educating ceremony.  This ceremony showed us the reasons as to why our school is exceptional and so special. Maradhoo School is a conjoined team and we can achieve anything together, if we work together.

Our school captain for the year 2020, Aminath Simee Sameeu, told us that on our journey to success we must face failure before reaching success and if we don’t face failure before reaching success then we are not completely successful. In a way that resonated with all of us present, the elders as well as the young ones.

This year there was an interesting change from the past years. There are four prestigious posts that all the prefects strive to get. They are the School Captain, Deputy School Captain, Activities Captain and Deputy Activities Captain. Every year the students of grade eight get these four posts. Contrary to that this year two very capable and deserving students from grade seven secured the posts of Deputy School Captain and Deputy Activities Captain.

Certificates were distributed to the PTA as a token of appreciation and gratitude. And the whole ceremony was arranged well, organised well and was very pleasant.

I would take this article as a chance to express my sincere gratitude to the Staff, Cadets, Bands, Teachers, Parents, Students, School Leaders, Prefects, Leading teachers and especially the Southern Area Commander Captain Mohamed Hafiz for making the Cadets and Bands ready on time. Thank you all for supporting our school and making this special ceremony a memorable one.
