The
New year has started with the beginning of the second term of our
studies. It started today on the tenth of January. Not just that 2021 has brought huge changes that all of us had requested
for. So all the students and teachers are looking forward to a great year ahead. Let us look at some of the important changes.
Library
A significant change with the new year is the reopening of the library. It is opening its doors to a world
of unlimited imagination and creativity. Today we are facing a pandemic that we have never
experienced before. It is a huge pandemic that has cost millions of human life globally.
Due to this, important safety measures were taken including stopping any type of contact with another person. With the good news of vaccine development and
production the ministry has allowed the library to be open.
School
Session Times
Due
to the pandemic the school separated students into two sessions. Now that the safety measures have been relaxed, we all come together again to school everyday. We come to learn and leave with new understanding of knowledge. Also we get to meet our friends but we still have to wear masks and
regularly wash our hands with soap or use a hand sanitizer. Also temperature is checked during the arrival of the teachers as well as the students.
The
Biggest Change
We
all had been using the uniform that was used from the beginning of Maradhoo School. A change
that had been requested for so long was the introduction of brand new
uniforms with a colourful new look with a new addition of a tie for everyone which finally was approved this year. It has been an absolute delight to look at everyone in a new and different outfit. With the new activities uniform coming later this year, it is indeed going to be fantastic.
The first day was as usual glorious. The teachers had decorated the school with red and white balloons which was such a treat to look at. The class teachers welcomed each student to their respective classrooms with a welcome gift. With these new changes, warmth and love from our teachers and the joy of meeting our friends, it was an excellent and successful day one.
