Amalu Madhavan is the Marine Science teacher of our school. She has completed her Masters in Biological Oceanography and Biodiversity (Marine Biology) from Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS-INDIA) in 2018. She completed her Bachelors in Botany from Calicut University in Kerala with distinction in 2016 as well as a Diploma in Computer Applications. She has also completed Communicative English Trainer course and Additional Skill Acquisition Program (ASAP).
She worked as a Quality Controller from 2018 to 2019 in a marine fish processing unit called Mangala Marine Exim India Limited, situated in Aroor, India. During this time, she became experienced in the quality checking of marine fish products. Along with that she has done voluntary work in an NGO called GREENVEIN for Environmental protection and social work. After that she worked as a Researcher at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, India. During, her research she has experience in cruising the sea by research vessels for sample collection. She has published a research paper in the Journal of Marine Biological Association of India (MBAI). She presented her research paper in a National Seminar on Conservation and Sustainability of Aquatic Resources (CSAR ’18) conducted in Tuticorin Fisheries Research Institute, India and she has also attended many national and international conferences on Marine science.
She has a very good experience in diving, snorkelling and swimming. She likes diving and snorkelling in the deep sea. As a Marine Science teacher, she can bring many accolades to our school. Apart from the class room study she can take the students for experiencing marine ecosystems to know about the surroundings. She can set a Marine Science section in our science lab and conduct more practical sessions for Marine Science. She can help the students and motivate them in their extracurricular activities. She can establish high expectations and clear goals in students. She can actively participate in all works for the improvement of our school with all teachers.
