World Heart Day 2021

We celebrated World Heart day in our school campus on the morning of 29th September. Students of grade 5 conducted a special assembly along with a short exercise session for everyone.

The following questions were asked by the students to the audience

Do we really care for our hearts?     Do we care about keeping our hearts healthy?     Do we know that our heart performs selfless actions for our benefit?

The students also shared useful information about the heart and its functioning,

For each second, 70 times, and for each day 100,000 times, the heart beats continuously.     Our heart is the only organ that performs, even if it is taken and kept out of the body.     In every single beat, it circulates blood nearly a distance of 96,000 km.

The five steps to keep our heart healthy,

  1. Regular walking

  2. Limited food plan

  3. Laughter that lightens the heart

  4. 7 hours of sleep

  5. Annual medical check-up.

The students participated in the healthy eating ceremony where fruits were distributed to both the teachers and the students to start the day on a healthy note.
