On November 14th, the
students of Key Stage 1, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate Cultural Day. Through the activities, the students learned
about some of the aspects included in their Social Studies syllabus under the
strand of Culture and Identity.
Culture and Identity enables us to comprehend many cultural viewpoints generated from various systems of ideas, knowledge, values, and tradition, as well as to learn and adapt to a dynamic and ever-changing culture. We learn the individual needs to develop our identity along with culture.
The Cultural Day events gave students the opportunity to learn more about Maldivian culture and to explore their cultural customs.
This was a fantastic opportunity for all of the children to learn about the importance of appreciating their Maldivian heritage and history as a distinct country. They were ecstatic to have such a day planned for them since it allowed them to actively participate in activities while learning about their culture.
We should all seize these opportunities and
make the most of what we can learn from these activities. We had a grand celebration
like this because of the tireless efforts, commitment, and dedication of our Principal,
our Leading Teachers Mazeena Miss and Azma Miss, our loving teachers, and
beloved parents.
