Recently,
an Inter-house oratory competition was held in our school. The competition was
organized and conducted by the prefect board. The school leaders, teachers, and students worked together to bring this competition closer to our hearts.
The oratory competitions began on November 15th and the sessions were conducted on the school premises. The purpose of the program was
to enhance students' reading and public speaking skills which were accomplished.
The students represented their respective houses in the competition. The
program was effective in introducing the students to the significance and
challenges of oration. It also gave them a practical way to improve in academic variants of both Dhivehi and
English.
The School Captain and Deputy Captain led the sessions on the first day. On the second day, kids gave orations in English and Dhivehi, with the house teachers guiding and assisting them. And the finest were picked by a judging panel. A vast majority of the students participated in the session and demonstrated their vocabulary and speaking abilities.
