World Cancer Day 2022

World Cancer Day is an international day observed on February 4th to increase cancer awareness and support cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. As February 4th was a Friday, this occasion was observed on the school campus on February 6th. The theme for this year was 'Closing the Care Gap.'

A bulletin board was placed on the school grounds so that students could read and comprehend the information about cancer. Images highlighting various types of cancer and the different treatments were displayed. It also included the numerous ways of spreading awareness on this issue along with ways of helping those in need.

All of the material posted on the bulletin board was read by the students of Maradhoo School. They may have a new perspective on the significance of commemorating this day.

They could get a refreshing experience to see the significance of commemorating this day. Parents also came to see their children participate in this act of social awareness.

As the World Cancer Day website mentions,
"This World Cancer Day, we recognise the power of knowledge. We know that every single one of us has the ability to make a difference, large or small and that together we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer. We call on you, whoever and wherever you are, to play your part in creating a cancer-free world."

Let us all do our part in creating a cancer-free world. Let us do our part in eliminating the gap in cancer care.
