World Meteorological Day 2022

World Meteorological Day was celebrated in our school premises today. This year's theme is 'Early Warning, Early Action.' An art competition was organized by Grade 2 students that encouraged the students and staff of our school to participate and create drawings and paintings to highlight the theme. The best 10 submissions from the students and the best 5 submissions from the staff were selected and awarded with a badge and a certificate.

World Meteorological Day is observed annually on March 23 to highlight the importance of the role that people and their behavior play in protecting Earth's atmosphere. The day also commemorates the establishment of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO).

The assembly was conducted by students of Grade 2. They began with the recitation of The Holy Quran followed by a speech about the importance of World Meteorological Day. Mr. Ahmed Muslim was the special guest from Addu Meteorological Centre who graced the occasion. An appreciation certificate was awarded for his contribution and support for the students of our school.

The winners of the art competition were announced and honored by the special guest. The Principal and the special guest shared a few words to inspire and motivate the students. All the entries from the art competitions were displayed in an exhibition. It was a vibrant day and the program ended with great success.
